Participants will be asked to map selected task projects on HOT Tasking Manager. MapBeks shall activate the sites exactly on 08 November 2020.
Participants may use JOSM or OSM ID for editing.
You may request a training session from MapBeks on how to use the said applications.
CRITERIA FOR SCORING
The scores will be provided weekly based on the following criteria:
Quantity (50%) - this will account for number of buildings created. We will be generating building score twice a week, Every Thursdays (midweek) and Monday (end week). The cut off will be 11:59 Sunday of each week.
Task Completion (10%) - The organizers will also check the number of completed tasks and the appropriateness of submission of completed tasks.
Quality (40%) - a quality check of edits made will be conducted after the campaign week for ONLY the top 10 of the quantity and task completion criteria. All edits from the Top 10 will be pulled and each error made will be a deduction to the quality score. Some tips to observe:
a. Make sure that your buildings are properly squared or orthogonized.
b. Use the proper imagery. Prioritize MAXAR Premium, then Bing.
Only areas in this list will be counted in the basis of scores. Participants should make sure that they will be creating buildings in these tasks only (Click link to go to tasking manager)!
MapBeks partnered with Geoladies PH and HOT PH to assist in disaster mapping in areas severely affected by TY Rolly and TY Ulysses. We are adding these priority areas for contestants to map as well and only the building footprints criteria will be applied for these tasks under their respective weeks. This will only apply for W1 - W2 competition.
For W3 to W4, we will be adding 5 new towns for all participants to contribute to!
